Dying Reviews privacy statement

Your privacy is important to us. We want you to understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of any information we gather. To that end, this privacy statement outlines the principles governing how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information and we ask you to read this privacy statement carefully.

Information Collection and Use
Hospice New Zealand is collecting your feedback and ratings in order to better understand how society treats people in the dying stage of life. We may also capture additional information about you such as your name (or pseudonym), age, gender, region and ethnicity, which is optional for you to provide.

All information we collect will be analysed and reported in an aggregated and anonymised way, with the results and ratings shared publicly. Your name (or pseudonym), age, gender, region and ethnicity may also be shared along with your feedback and rating if you consent to us doing so, so that we can share the individual experiences of New Zealanders.

Holding, Correcting and Updating
We will retain your information for only as long as is necessary in accordance with this project, and to comply with our legal obligations.

We are based in New Zealand and any personal information that you provide to us will be collected, held and processed by us in New Zealand. Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020 you have rights of access to and correction of personal information that we hold. We offer the ability to correct or change the information collected at any time and as often as necessary.
